How to get started with therapy

I currently offer therapy in three ways:

  • In person, at my office at at 103 Park St in Montclair

  • In person, outdoors, at the Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland, NJ

  • Online, through a secure telehealth platform

There is no need to commit to one option, as different formats work for different people at different times.

We will work together to figure out what will best meet your needs, both practically (ie, distance and scheduling) and clinically (for example, doing trauma work is best suited for an in person setting, at least for some of the sessions).

No matter what option you prefer, the first step in getting started is to schedule a free 10 minute phone consultation by sending me an email at sonja@sonjaseglin.com, or call me at 312-469-0398. During that call, I can answer any questions you have, and get an idea of how I can support you. And you can decide if you feel it would be a good fit.

Step two is to set up our first session, either in person or virtually. You can do that by clicking the button below, which will allow you to view my availability and request a time that works for you.

The last step is to walk into my office, virtual office, or meet me at the Environmental Center. Treatment is typically weekly, during which time we will discuss your unique stressors and how you can incorporate some new habits to improve your overall well-being.
